Specs have supposedly leaked surrounding a meaty Windows Phone 7 device from HTC.
In unrelated news, Google recently debunked reports surrounding the upcoming hardware requirements for Android v3.0 (aka Gingerbread), insinuating that the info was fake. With that said, Friday's supposed leaked specs of HTC's Windows Phone 7-based HD3 "superphone" may be debunked just as easily by HTC. The specs originated from images acquired by Chinese site PCOnline and certainly outline a tasty, mobile powerhouse albeit unofficial.
The supposed HD3 won't be small to say the least--it will come packed with a 4.5-inch AMOLED multi-touch screen (115-mm x 65-mm x 10-mm) sporting a 1280 x 800 resolution. It will also support 1080p HD video playback, 720p HD video recording, and an HDMI output for watching said media on your HDTV or monitor. There's also a 8-megapixel camera with a dual-LED flash.
As for system components, the HTC HD3 will use Qualcomm's 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of on-board RAM, 1GB of internal storage, and 32GB of external storage. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G connectivity, a 3.5-inch headphone jack, and a 1800 mAh battery. Overall the device will measure just 10-mm thick.
While I'm not all that fired up about Windows Phone 7 OS (even though Xbox Live will be integrated), the HTC HD3 definitely looks hot. It will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the year... if the HD3 images are indeed real.
