WP7 Launched In Thailand; HTC HD7 Immediately Sold Out

Share

The Bangkok Posts reports that the Thailand Windows Phone 7 launch -- the fifth country in the world to officially have Redmond's new mobile OS -- was a huge success.

The platform has launched with a single device, the HTC HD7 and all the units were sold out in a short time. The only Windows Phone 7 was brought to Thailand's second largest GSM mobile phone provider, Dtac, by the Taiwanese manufacturer and went for 22,900 baht (around $760) with a monthly 799 baht (roughly $26.49) contract offering 3GB of data. According to reports, Thai script is possible on the device via an application made by HTC which makes it happen at least until we'll have official Asian language support from Microsoft.
